Born in 1975, Farhad explores human relationships and their subtle ironies through humor in his work. Each figure in his paintings contributes to the narrative, with its own personality. His recent pieces feature complex concepts that may initially be awe-inspiring, with humor and irony revealing deeper emotional truths. Farhad employs a unique technique of applying color dot-by-dot, filling the canvas with vibrant hues. A 2003 graduate of Shanti Niketan and a 2005 postgraduate from Baroda’s Faculty of Fine Arts, Farhad’s narrative works are known for their vivid colors and flat backgrounds, detailed with textile-like patterns. Influenced by miniature and Kalighat paintings, Japanese prints, and mass media, he reinterprets these elements through his own style. Farhad works in tempera on cloth, allowing for intense color vibrancy. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions both nationally and internationally.
