Rajashekhar Komakula

Rajashekhar Komakula is an artist whose work captures the beauty of nature through a unique lens, offering viewers a fresh perspective on the natural world. Specializing in printmaking, he explores various techniques, from etching to lithography, enjoying the endless possibilities for texture. His art evolved over time, influenced by his travels—such as the addition of elephants after visiting a zoo in Vishakapatnam and the brighter depictions of Telangana houses inspired by the homes he saw in Goa.
Komakula’s paintings often feature goats with distinct personalities, reflecting the subtle differences he observes in their appearance across regions. This attention to detail is central to his solo exhibition Choreographing Nature at Focus Art Gallery, where he uses pencils, ink, and watercolors on thick acid-free paper to evoke memories of his childhood in Narsipatnam. Through his work, Komakula invites viewers to experience the charm of his roots and the lively spirit of nature.
